José Rivera Santiago EIT, MECE, is a civil engineer specializing in structural engineering and project management topics, with 2 years of experience in project management, and structural engineering. He holds a B.S.C.E. and an M.E.C.E. in Structural Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. A registered engineer in training in Puerto Rico, he is a member of the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico. José Rivera recently passed the professional engineering exam and is in the process of certifying his license as a Professional Engineer. Engineer Rivera worked for Hugo Neu Americas as a Project Engineer under the supervision of Project Manager Evan Gonzalez in the project definition and conceptual phase of a ferrous steel recycling facility. Performed cost estimates, AutoCAD drawings, supervised contractors, retaining wall analysis and developed work schedules. Engineer River also worked on various projects in which he assisted in performing a structural assessment to determine the conditions of an existing concrete structure located in Mayagüez, P.R. and of an antique building located in Old San Juan.
